Alliance between SiteGround and Codeable & Hit on Service

How SiteGround will save money and Customer Service will take a hit!

Per Siteground’s facebook post (see below), as of August 29, 2018, they have partnered with Codaeble (a service that pairs people needing WordPress support with experts in the industry). Overall we think this is bad for the end consumer, but we completely understand why they did it, the company’s “bottom-line”.

Benefits For SiteGround:

There will be lots of benefits to SiteGround by outsourcing the more technical issues that can crop up with any WordPress website.

  1. Cost savings on training staff (no need for highly trained staff).
  2. Shorter call or chat sessions (able to take more per, frees bandwidth for other customers)
  3. Highly trained staff are an investment

The Loss to the Consumer:

Our Fears:

We have seen this happen for clients with GoDaddy years ago where they are still quick to say that that problem is out of their “Scope of Work” (SOW) and that you will need to hire someone else to fix that issue. Side note: It’s actually how Big Ten Web Design has gotten a few jobs in the past.
